The AMS lexan window kit includes 5 scratch resistance pieces made from 1/8 inch thick competition grade coated lexan and 1 windshield made from 3/16" NHRA legal lexan. All pieces are thermal formed to assure an accurate and aerodynamic fit that are identically contoured to the shape of the stock glass. The AMS lexan kit weighs in at 31lbs. while the stock glass weighs in at a hefty 60.6lbs. Thats a total weight savings of 29.6lbs!
In addition, all stock window moldings and weather stripping can be retained to keep the stock look. The front and rear windshield can be glued into place just like the factory units but AMS recommends using rivets or screws to help secure the rear Lexan. Windows are shipped with protective film on both inside and outside for protection. These race only windows are NOT DOT approved, are NOT legal, and are not intended for use on public roads.
