This is the first step in modifying your vehicle. The AMS intake pipe is designed to improve air flow to the turbocharger and increase horsepower and performance. AMS installed the Performance Intake with an AMS Manual Boost Controller set at the factory 21 psi on their shop car and produced a tremendous 45 whp over stock! The boost held better with the MBC and didn't taper as much as it did with the factory boost control solenoid.
The AMS Performance Intake is professionally TIG-welded in-house by their master fabricators. High quality polished 3" mandrel bent aluminum is used in construction and the pipe ends are bead-rolled for a great fit and easy alignment. A K&N free flowing filter is included along with all new 4-ply silicon couplers and new hose clamps. Another fine point is the BOV recirculation tube entry angle which is completely in-line with the air induction path avoiding turbulence and maintaining excellent air flow.
