First the quality of the product was impressive. Nice welds, light and very nice paint job though strangely enough the metal flake orange can't be seen unless on a hoist. Fitment was very nice. I think it took longer to get the car on jackstands than it did to remove stock wimpy reinforcements and install part. I have tein sustech lowering springs so ground clearance was to low to just do her without said jack stands. All that said, I wasnt really sure what to expect. I didnt know if I would notice a difference since lowering and strut tower bar really were such great mods. I didnt really get it until driving the thing. My xA is a manual and shifting really was smoother especially when dropping down a gear to slow down. No more nosing up. Secondly suspension seems much smoother even potholes are a different experience. More grip can also be expected. I truly think that if you are going to brace the front end definately think about bracing the rear next. It really ties it all together. I dont think it would be my first suspension mod it should definatly follow lowering and strut tie/tower bar. If you have changed your exhaust or created any situation where you are experiencing much more torque than Stock this is a good mod. It really creates a smoother ride, shifting and cornering.

the part fit great, had it on in 15 min.
the downfall, the protege already had a brace there,
so the improvement was not as spectacular as expected.
