The HorsepowerFreaks Feramic 6-puck Clutch Kit is an awesome alternative to the higher priced multi-disc kits. These kits offer a 95% increase in torque capacity to harness all of your power without slipping and still maintain smooth engagement. With this kit there is simply no compromise on price, power capacity or engagement.
The feramic material used to make this clutch is very expensive and hard to get. It has the highest heat resistance of any other clutch material made today with a coefficient of 0.7. This coefficient doesn't change with temperature as many clutches do until after 900 degrees and has a melting point of 1600 degrees to tolerate even the most extreme use.
Due to the aggressive nature of the Feramic material and its heat coefficient, the risk of fusing the disc to an aluminum flywheel is high and only a resurfaced factory or Unorthodox Racing flywheel (carbon based insert) is recommended.
