Increase horsepower and style under your hood with a Perrin Cold Air Intake System. This new intake was designed from the beginning to be a cold air intake. This provides much better more consistent HP and better driveability in all conditions. Perrin also found that the stock intake does get heat soaked and causes a loss in power due to the high temperatures the sensor reads.
Proper MAF alignment and plumbing size are crucial to maintain proper air fuel ratios and prevent nasty check engine lights and cause the car to run dangerously lean. While this is very true, Perrin has found that MAF sensors in newer models are much different that MAF sensors of the past.
PRECISION CONSTRUCTION
Perrin's intakes are constructed from aluminum tubing which is precision CNC mandrel bent for consistent and perfect fitting parts. The MAF sensor bung is CNC machined for perfect fit and alignment of MAF sensor to intake. This is crucial for proper air fuel ratios and ECU engine management.
T-BOLT CLAMPS
All PERRIN intake systems use high tech T-bolt clamps instead of the typical less expensive worm drive clamps. The high end clamps offer maximum holding power and have a built in liner so they will not damage silicone couplers. Each clamp is laser etched with the PERRIN logo.
COLOR CHOICES
PERRIN intake systems are powder coated with a wrinkle finish to match your STI intake manifold and/or PERRIN Front Mount Intercooler tubes. Each system is available in either red or black.

AFTERMARKET ECU TUNING
The PERRIN intake system works great as a bolt intake for a stock car with stock tuned ECU. It is NOT OK to use with a Reflashed/Tuned ECU, unless it is tuned specifically for the PERRIN intake system. Because of the 08+ MAF sensor being very sensitive, any change of the intake system causes the car to run lean. We have a library of PERRIN Performance custom tuned AccessPORT maps for our intake which are provided for free to existing AccessPORT customers.
