These Steed Speed billet turbo manifolds are designed to create the ultimate in looks, durability and high performance. Each manifold consists of two sections which have half of the exhaust runners machined into them. The halves are welded together to create the complete exhaust passage. All manifolds include ceramic coating for heat retention and appearance. All manifold designs have been race and dyno tested to maximize turbo performance. Alternate turbo flanges should be mentioned prior to placing order.
The quality of the part is second to none. Refer to the videos on youtube and just watch how it's built. Search for Steedspeed. I have to say that I was a bit disappointed that the manifold isn't prepared to fit a wastegate. It comes with the flange but the fit wasn't right on my unit. I wasn't using anything huge either, just a 38mm Tial unit. The top of the wastegate touches the head of the motor. It required slight modification to the flange to allow for fitment. This is an issue that I brought to the attention of the manufacturer and I believe future manifolds won't have this problem. Otherwise, for the kind of driving I do (aggressive canyon runs and hillclimbs) this manifold can't be beat. It will never crack like my previous equal-length tubular manifolds did. An equal length may be slightly more efficient. But anywhere other than the quarter mile in an S2000 you are just begging for cracks. No matter what others tell you. Even the best most expensive roboticly welded manifolds have proven to crack after awhile of putting up with the stress of 9000rpm. The tubular design found in the Steedspeed manifolds is the best of both worlds. The two forged billet pieces that are welded together are less likely to fail than the pyramids.
