capacity of the carbon matrix plates enable the clutch to be easily modulated/slipped, without overheating and damaging the plates. This characteristic also helps to reduce stress placed on other driveline components. The combination of the Carbon/Carbon clutch's extremely low inertia and the lightweight billet steel flywheel produces faster engine acceleration and smooth high-rpm shifting. Carbon/Carbon clutches also include two additional pressure plates that compensate for carbon wear, extending the life of the clutch before a rebuild is required.

Purchased this clutch in 2004 for my 550whp mirage. Made my own flywheel to save money. Plus I wanted extra weight for streetabilty since the clutch only weighs 6 pounds. This clutch is so dang good I don't know where to start. Very smooth with no chatter or any noise. Very light pedal pressure, less than 2100 plate. Slips very nicely for great streetabilty. Grabs like a ton of bricks when asked. but does it smoothly as to protect the drivetrain. clutch was tested at 900ft/lbs cold. Holds more broken in. Holds more when slipped. You wont find a clutch that allows faster shifts. The discs weigh about a pound and are only 7.25 diameter. Shifts at 10k like it shifts at 3k. No such thing as lockout with this clucth. My car makes 511ft/lbs torque so its hard on trannies. I have been through two trannies with this clutch and there is very little signs of wear on the plates.around 5000 hard street miles. No wear near time for first shim change. Clutch has a lifespan of nine shim changes. Only drawback is driveshaft rattle on decell. Helped propel the car to 10.2 at 134 on steet radials.
