With the unit setup for intake and exhaust the test vehicle made 248hp and 220 ft/lbs @ 10psi.
User changeable maps:
With supplied switches user can change from A and B maps (stock tune/10psi tune).

The main intention of an EMS is to increase power and dial in specific changes to the vehicle. However, with the Unichip, fuel economy will drastically improve. Test vehicle gained 4mpg with factory tune maps over stock maps.
Smooth operation:
The Unichip not only improves fuel economy and increases engine power, but also eliminates some of the quarks that can be found in the Mazdaspeed Protege. Smoother running and smooth acceleration.
Customizable:
Although the Unichip cannot be upgraded on the fly, specific changes can be done to the maps for specific modifications through authorized Unichip dealers.
