Unorthodox Ultra R - Single Belt - Underdrive Pulleys
Many of Unorthodox Racing customers have asked for pulleys that do not underdrive their alternators. Some audio competitions require that voltage remain at the factory levels. With Unorthodox Racing new 12-Volt Charger Series, the alternator is left to spin at stock levels or is spun with a slight overdrive. The remaining accessories are still underdriven (excludes accessories driven off the same belt as the alternator) for additional power gains section of the Acura/Honda crank pulley.
With Unorthodox Racing 12-Volt Charger Series crank pulleys, boost levels are maintained. For the B-series Acura/Honda engine applications, Unorthodox Racing 12-Volt Charger Series crank pulleys act as a slight overdrive, providing a slight increase in boost. Typical boost increases are 2 to 3 psi over a stock supercharger kit for the Acura Integra and Honda Civic Si. It is highly recommended that a high flow fuel pump and a boost dependent ignition system with retard control be installed in these applications. All of Unorthodox Racing 12-Volt Charger Series crank pulleys are available in a natural polished aluminum finish only.
