Smittybilt is an aftermarket company that was founded by Basil Smith. In 1956, Basil Smith aka “ Smitty” decided to start a small machine shop in his garage which he named Rock-ett Products. As an offroad enthusiast himself, he tried to develop parts and equipment for various trucks and Jeeps.
