Blouch Turbo (formally called Blouch Performance Turbo) was founded in February 1980 by a man named Robert Blouch Sr. His son, Bob Jr., joined the business in 1990 and spearheaded the development of bolt-on upgrade turbos for the emerging four-cylinder sport compact vehicle market. Just a few years later, in 1996, Blouch Turbo became a Mitsubishi Turbo distributor and helped further the development of bolt-on upgrades for Diamond-Star Motors. The horsepower potential for these turbos was amplified even more by installing Garrett compressors and turbines that were quite advanced for that time.
In 2000, Blouch Performance Turbo (BPT) became an IHI Turbo distributor; this prompted the progression of upgraded turbochargers for the growing Subaru WRX and STi market. Blouch Turbo was added to the elite group of Garrett Performance distributors for Garrett turbochargers and related products in 2006. At that time, BPT was actually the only Garrett Performance supplier on the East Coast.
Today, Blouch Performance Turbo offers a comprehensive lineup of custom performance bolt-on upgrades for popular vehicles like the Subaru WRX/STi, Mitsubishi EVO VIII, IX, and X, Porsche 996 and 997, and Dodge SRT4. All BPT products are manufactured using the latest state-of-the-art technology and materials. This includes fully machined billet compressors, custom turbine wheel and shaft assemblies, and custom compressor housing castings that are all machined in-house using Blouch Turbo’s own CNC equipment.
Blouch Performance Turbo has more than 35 years of experience rebuilding and upgrading turbochargers.
