The VR 200 Power Kit for the Can-Am Maverick X3 is the ultimate upgrade for your turbo UTV. The kit is comprised of components that have been tested for years in all types of scenarios while maintaining reliability and giving excellent performance. Starting with the VR Tuned ECU Software, this ECU flash is all done right from your garage to boost the horsepower up from 172hp. In combination with the world famous Agency Power complete exhaust system, we now see power tipping 195hp. The full stainless steel, TIG welded exhaust mounts to the stock turbo flange and replaces your entire OEM downpipe and muffler. Designed as a valvetronic unit, you are able to switch the exhaust between 2 sound levels. What makes the Agency Power exhaust so recognizeable is the unique tip design.
Further improving upon the performance is the addition of a new wastegate which helps keep the boost consistent at 18psi of the new tune. But with added horsepower comes the need to improve air flow and cooling. So by adding the Agency Power high flow air intake along with the larger Agency Power intercooler, we see a dramatic drop in charge temperatures. However you will notice that the intercooler scoop behind the seats is small reducing the amount of airflow that goes into the intercooler. So we use our Agency Power larger intercooler scoop to really pick up that air flow.
With a turbocharged vehicle, it is common to see a diverter or blow off valve from the factory. Can-Am does not have one of these which causes the pressure to revert back through the intake side of the turbo slowing down the inlet impeller causing long term damage and robbing you of performance. By installing a blow off valve, this reduces the chance for what is called compressor surge. The Agency Power silicone blow off valve hose mated with the adjustable Agency Power blow off valve is exactly what this engine needs.
With all these parts you are cresting a nice safe 200 horsepower on pump gas which has been proven to be the best formula for the Can-Am X3. Doing these mods gives you excellent performance that is reliable. The car can be putted along for nice trail drives or full send in the sand. For those with a 2017, you must have already done the 2018 upgrade as this kit is designed for 2018 to 2020 vehicles. The kit does not work for the RR models. Clutching is not included, nor required, however there are many benefits to upgrading your clutch when desired.
