What is the Story Behind Voltex?

Voltex is a specialty aero parts company located in Suzuka, Japan (conveniently near the circuit). Founder Nakajima started the brand in 1995 and is highly experienced in aerodynamic design and engineering. He has worked for numerous racing teams in Japan, where he made composite body parts for F-3 and Formula Japan race cars. Nakajima has also worked in the United Kingdom, where he was an engineer for CROSBY GRP. The CROSBY GRP provides services for F1 and WRC, and has worked with drivers like Jean Alesi.

What is Voltex Famous for?

Apart from the aerodynamic kit outfitted on the Sun Auto Cyber EVO, Voltex may be most known for its carbon GT wings. Voltex currently offers more than 10 customizable designs for its wings. The versatile Voltex GT wing can fit and benefit practically any vehicle application. Voltex GT wings are crafted to meet the Super Taikyu “Endurance” regulations, and about 50 percent of race cars in Class 4 use Voltex wings for the Super Taikyu Series.

While Voltex Racing is typically known for its high-quality GT wings outside of Japan, there is more to this remarkable company. For the majority of its 25 years of operation, Voltex has been designing functional aerodynamic parts for some of the highest levels of circuit racing around the world, including the world-renowned “Cyber Evo” time attack car.

Rigorous Testing

Perhaps one of the more interesting facts about Voltex is that the company is able to test all its aerodynamic parts in a wind tunnel during the development process. This is made possible by the company’s unique collaboration with Mie University in Tsu, Japan. The process ensures all its aerodynamic products are effective and functional.
