When performing an LS engine swap into classic muscle cars and trucks, the use of an aftermarket, steel oil pan usually provides better, cross member, component and ground clearance than GM's factory, cast aluminum pan. The only hurdle with this swap is that GM integrated the oil filter mounting flange and passage ways into the factory cast pan. Remove the factory LS pan, and you lose a place to spin-on your oil filter.
This LS swap specific oil pan and filter relocation system combo kit eliminates this hurdle by including both a rear sump oil pan that clears the vehicle's cross member, and a complete oil filter relocation system that allows you to relocate the oil filter from the factory LS pan to the firewall, fenderwell or other easy to reach location on the vehicle.
The Black pan in this kit has kickouts that offer a 7 qt. capacity, and has two integrated -10AN fittings that you attach the 90 degree hose fittings to, then plumb the oil lines to the remote mount, cast aluminum filter base. The kit includes a special oil pump pickup tube designed specifically for the oil pan, a complete oil pan gasket set and mounting bolts.
The remote base is a single filter unit that has vertical ports, and it includes 30 hoses, 4 hose fittings and filter nipple. This kit is ideal if space around the remote base is limited. The only thing not included is a standard PH8A (Fram #), or equivalent, oil filter.
LS Engine Swap Oil Pan & Remote SINGLE Oil Filter Base Combo Kit; VERTICAL Port SINGLE Filter Base; BLACK Oil Pan (7qt.)

Trans Dapt Performance is an aftermarket company that is widely recognized in the automotive industry. It was founded by Willie Garner and initially started his business manufacturing and selling transmission adapters in his small garage. His products were a huge success that later on he was selling them beyond his peers and sold them to performance companies. Today, they are considered the leading company when it comes to manufacturing adapters.
The company has come a long way since its humble beginning and has expanded its product offering by manufacturing not just transmission adapters but also for carburetors and engines. They also have chrome pieces that help improve the looks of your engine bay. Likewise, they offer other aesthetic parts such as oil pans, dip sticks, throttle cables, differential covers and more. With a wider range of products to choose from, they have become a favorite of muscle cars and hot rod builders.
If you are in search of a quality product that would allow you to mix and match different engine, transmission, and carburetor configurations, then Trans Dapt Performance is the brand for you. Using their years of experience, they are able to develop and innovate their products to keep up with the ever-changing trend of automotive technology. All their products are proven to work both well on the street and on the track. Visit Vivid Racing and check out their list of products that would fit your specific needs.
