The 2018 Toyota Tundra 5.7L V8 model can now be tuned with VR Tuned using the HP Tuners MPVI2 OBDII system! This is a great truck for off-roading, towing, and general use. Having partnered with EnigmaSpeed, an HP Tuners specialist, we have developed an amazing ECU flash to exceed the 381 horsepower that comes from the factory. The VR Tuned ECU flash is designed to greatly improve horsepower and torque. Even more, we improve the electronic throttle response and pull through the entire RPM range. This is not just about numbers, but a better overall driveability than stock!
For those that tow massive payloads, we have an optional tow tune you can switch to with the purchase of your HP Tuners MPVI2. In addition to our performance and tow tune, we also offer a transmission tune. One of the biggest complaints on the Tundra is the transmission shifting. Our optional Tranmission tune can be set to be mild or aggressive between the gears while we also change the MPH it shifts at. The ECU tune is designed to work with Flex Fuel vehicles on E85 and for all Tundra's running 91 octane or higher. We can offer a flash for 87 octane, but performance is lower as expected.
With numerous Toyota Tundra trucks running the streets with the VR Tuned ECU flash, it has proven to be reliable, daily driveable, and produce the improvements that Tundra owners want!
Crank Horsepower Ratings:
Stock Power – 381HP and 401FT/LBS
Tuned Power – 410 HP and 435FT/LBS

How to Flash Your ECU?
How HP Tuners MPVI2 Works
HP Tuners VCM Editor
Your custom ECU tuning comes from VR Tuned and our team of calibration specialists. However with the HP Tuners MPVI2, you get so many more features. The VCM Editor (see features here) allows you to easily read your vehicles control modules flash memory and save it in our proprietary .HPT file structure. VCM Editor enables you to adjust a multitude of complex parameters such as torque strategies, spark tables, fueling, RPM limits, fan activations, transmission shift points and pressures, exhaust valve control, speedometer settings and many more. You do not have to do these, however it gives you the freedom to further work with the software or any dyno tuning specialist.
HP Tuners VCM Scanner
In addition to the VCM Editor, the MPVI2 also works with the VCM Scanner (see features here). Using the MPVI2 you now have the most powerful and comprehensive scan tool on the market. View, chart, and log diagnostic data in real time via the vehicle’s OBDII diagnostic data port. View and clear vehicle Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) along with other vehicle module information. Command control functions like closed loop, fans, gear select, timing, air fuel ratio and so more all in real time. No editor package can be considered complete without comprehensive scan tool capabilities.

VRTuned.com is the off shoot of globally known, high performance retail parts specialists, Vivid Racing. Vivid Racing has been in business since 2001 and has worked with customers all over the world. In 2005, Vivid Racing got started in the Porsche market with their 2000 Porsche 996 Carrera. In addition to building this project car with selected vendor partners, Vivid Racing also began manufacturing products through it's sister company Agency Power. Having had success in the popular tuning chassis' such as the Subaru WRX STI, Mitsubishi EVO, and BMW M3, this was a natural progression of expansion in our repertoire of vehicles. As the tuning market boomed extensively in the early 2000's, Vivid Racing established a very strong prescence online and throughout vehicle communities. When the recession came, Vivid Racing continued to grow and focus on the development of it's products, distribution network, and most importantly, its customers. The diversity of vehicle products and services has allowed Vivid Racing to continue to strive for excellence while maintaining exceptional growth. ECU tuning has always been an extremely important part of modifying and building vehicles. This is essentially the glue that brings the performance out of aftermarket products and packages. With this next stage in the companies footprint, VRTuned.com was proudly launched in January 2014.
As the tuning industries tools became more accessible, so has the ability to partner and work with individuals to offer a unique service with added value. Working with several tuning companies over the years, we have experienced the upsides and downsides of the ECU tuning world. As it is our mission to offer unparallelled customer service and support, it is equally important to offer a great product that is tested, convenient to use, and priced within reason for the current demographic. With a Mustang All Wheel Drive Dynamometer in-house at our Gilbert, Arizona facility, we have spent countless hours testing tuned files, the affects of different vehicle modifications, and learning how vehicles react to our changes. But most importantly, our product confidence comes in that we have owned these vehicles, daily driven these vehicles, raced these vehicles, and understand what the consumer is looking for.
