The LS2 Subverter full face motocross helmet is a game changer in the world of high-performance MX helmets. LS2 uses their proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) for the shell. It's lightweight, offers just a little flex as part of the energy management system, and is ultra-strong. It tests as well as the best composite matterials in the world and is the perfect matterial for a racing helmet. This proprietary matterial uses nanotechnology to blend microscopic particles of aramid fibers into a high-end polymer. LS2 uses 3 shell sizes for the Subverter to assure that you get the smallest, lightest shell possible for your specific size. In fact, this is one of the smallest shells in the business. But things get even better. The Subverter has a special MIPS system. An internal, energy absorbing EPS uses in-molding technology, attaching an internal, polycarbonate protective layer between the dual-density EPS and the comfort padding It allows the comfort liner just a bit of slippage to help offset and diminish rotational energy and improve the dissipation of energy absorbed by the EPS. The shell has 35 separate ventilation ports, with channeled EPS to allow the maximum possible airflow, keeping the rider cooler in the heat of competition. The comfort padding uses LS2's thermo-weld system, reducing the need for glues. It allows the fabric to be more breathable and comfortable. The liner is removable and washable, so you can keep it as fresh as new. The eye port is wide, allowing for a full field of vision, and accommodates virtually any brand of goggles. The LS2 MX470 Subverter changes the rules of off-road racing and gives you an edge against the competition. Meets or exceeds DOT FMVSS 218 and ECE 22.05 certification.

ABOUT LS2

In 1990, in a small workshop in China, a modest helmet business called the LS2 was established. Since then, and for over 25 years, LS2 has developed at a breakneck pace, due to increased demand for helmets and the foresight of its founders, Arthur Liao and Stephan Liao. The LS2 brand is available in over 85 countries and has been the fastest growing in the world for the previous eight years.

LS2 VISION

LS2 is committed to the safety and protection of two-wheel enthusiasts, incorporating cutting-edge technology into every facet of the product. Its vision evolves into a helmet built for the riders of today and tomorrow who want great design and innovation on every route and in every challenge. LS2 traces its history along the most dangerous riders' competitive journeys, accompanying them on each of their exploits and sharing their passion for the sport. A life filled with ambition, a competitive mentality, and constant obstacles.

LS2 HISTORY

LS2 is a Chinese maker, having manufactured its first lid in 1990, and initially created unbranded helmets for other distributors to brand as their own. However, in 2007, they began manufacturing their own brand of motorcycle helmets, dubbed LS2, after their creator, Arthur Liao, with LS standing for Liao's System. Today, LS2 is located in Spain and produces well over one million motorcycle helmets each year in their China plant, exporting them to North America, Europe, and Australia.

LS2 DEVELOPMENT

As with the LS2 helmets, their development is based on the experience, research, and skill of thousands of individuals dedicated to producing a product of uncompromising quality that meets the demands of each rider. Carbon Fibre is a material that is widely employed in the aerospace sector, as well as in the highly competitive worlds of Formula 1 and MotoGP. It possesses great strength while remaining extremely light.

LS2 PRODUCTION LINE

LS2 manufactures full-face helmets in a variety of materials, ranging from thermoplastics like polycarbonate to sophisticated composites and carbon fiber. While you may not think of LS2 as a manufacturer of high-performance sports bikes and racing helmets, they do have a solid pedigree, with Michael Rinaldi and Randy De Puniet both using LS2 helmets and providing comments on helmet development. Therefore, if you're looking for a new sports bike or track helmet, check out the LS2 helmets on our website.

LS2 PRODUCT TESTING

Technicians, engineers, and designers that work tirelessly to ensure that their LS2 helmets perform optimally. With their primary objective being to satisfy rider needs. Each LS2 helmet is constructed of three primary components: an external shell, a shock-absorbing EPS liner, and a variety of attachments such as comfort linings, retention methods, visors, and ventilation.

A technician then completes the construction of the helmet by connecting the EPS liner, retention strap, and visor mechanism according to a rigorous procedure. Finally, there is the comfort liner and instructions for use. Each helmet then goes through a final quality check before it is packaged and shipped.
