Here at Motobilt we offer a heavy duty skid plate to protect the factory plastic gas tank from trail damage.
The gas tank skid plate is fabricated from heavy duty 3/16 inch steel plate. We laser cut and form the parts on the most advanced machines here in house in the USA. The Gas Tank Skid Plate for the Jeep YJ bolts into the factory location using the factory hold down straps and hardware.
The skid plate ships welded and bare steel. You will need to paint or powder coat it the color of your choice before installing.
