How is ours different for imported, overseas market produced light mounts? Aside from obvious quality improvements, ours is the thickest steel mount available. At 11-gauge thick, no matter how heavy your LED light bar may be or how heavy your individual light pods are, they will not bow down our mount. Plus, we use all 4 license plate bolts (many others use only the top 2) which can actually cause undue stress on your license plate mount and break it!
Why did we taper the top width of the mount? Many factory license plate mounts inside bumpers are recessed. We want to give you the freedom to run 10" LED light bars even in those situations, so the solution was to increase the light mounting tab width vs the width of the mount itself. If you have a deeply recessed license plate mount in your bumper, you can add spacers behind this light mount to push the face forward.
