The edirb 171/172 is a premium sports reclining seat based on BRIDE STRADIAIII., with a newly designed 3D-CAD bone frame and a monocoque body shell that inherits the design of BRIDE ZETAIV., resulting in a 200% tensile strength of the frame compared to the previous model edirb023/033. The overall strength has been increased by 40% and the backrest strength has been increased by 15%. This is a new-generation reclining seat that combines the hold performance required for circuit driving and the convenience and comfort required for daily use at a high level.
The seat and thigh cushions are made of specially designed high-density molded urethane foam, which ensures that the flat seat is evenly pressured, ensuring high holdability and durability that is less fatigued and less likely to sag even when used for long periods of time. In addition, the EDIRB 171/172 models are different depending on the difference in the thigh cushion, and the EDIRB 171 is a "standard cushion" specification with a moderate thickness, and the EDIRB 172 is a "low cushion" specification with a thickness on the back of the knee that is two-thirds of the thickness of the standard cushion.
The shell is a high-rigidity super aramid black shell, and the skin material is composed of three materials: protein leather, ultrasuede, and vegan leather [Vigaprimo], and it is a safe specification that supports antibacterial sterilization, deodorization. In addition, the seat is equipped with a seating sensor. (Depending on the car model, it may not be possible.)
Newly designed one-touch reclining lever and inseam belt hole for circuit driving
The EDIRB161/162 and 171/172 feature a newly developed one-touch reclining lever for ease of operation, convenience, and durability. While adjusting in stages, backlash and rattle have been suppressed to the utmost limit, achieving more reliable hold and comfort. In addition, a belt hole for a six-point harness has been newly installed on the back of the seat, and it is designed with circuit driving in mind. (The EDIRB161/162, which emphasizes holdability, has a slightly smaller hole size than the EDIRB171/172 to reduce belt movement.)
Adoption of new material vegan leather [Bigaprimo]
In addition to the protein leather and ultrasuede that have been used in the conventional EDIRB series, a new artificial leather that reproduces the structure of genuine leather without using animal-derived materials, vegan leather [Bigaprimo] is adopted. While it is soft to the touch, it is durable and easy to maintain, so it is used on the top surface of the third support, which is prone to rubbing when getting on and off.
